内容提要：
Throughout the world, the pressure to publish research articles in international journals is increasing. Too often, writing for publication is seen as the goal in itself rather than a means to an end that it is—a way of contributing new knowledge to the community of knowledgeable peers.
In this workshop, the participants will explore some of the challenges that novice researchers face in writing for publications, and learn how to negotiate the complex process of submitting a research article for publication in international journals.
人物简介
Paul Kei Matsuda is Professor of English and Director of Second Language Writing at Arizona State University. Prof. Matsuda has published widely on various topics on language, writing and professional development in applied linguistics, rhetoric and composition and TESOL, and has received a number of prestigious awards for his publications. He has been invited to present keynote and plenary talks as well as lectures and workshops in various countries and throughout the United States, and served as a program evaluator and consultant for language programs and graduate programs around the world.
Paul is the Founding Chair of the Symposium on Second Language Writing and Series Editor of the Parlor Press Series on Second Language Writing. And he has previously served as the Director of writing programs at the University of New Hampshire and Arizona State University, the Founding Chair of the CCCC Committee on Second Language Writing, Chair of the Nonnative English Speakers in TESOL (NNEST) Caucus, and President of the American Association for Applied Linguistics (AAAL), and is currently the Immediate Past President.
