专家简介：
叶扬，著名比较文学家，美国加州大学河滨分校比较文学及外国语言系教授。英文著作包括《晚明小品》（Vignettes from the Late Ming, 1999）、《中国诗歌的结尾》（Chinese Poetic Closure, 1996）、以及两卷本英译《简明中国文学史》（A Concise History of Chinese Literature, 2011， 骆玉明原著）等。中文著作有《翰墨风流》（北京中华书局，2014年）及《覆水年华》（上海书店出版社，2012年）等。
讲座内容：
Students are invited to join the speaker in a close reading of selected poems on poetry from English and American poets, including Philip Sidney, Robert Herrick, George Herbert, Emily Dickinson, Wallace Stevens, and Archibald MacLeish, after which a few poems from Tao Yuanming, Xin Qiji and Paul Verlaine will be discussed to demonstrate how the meta-poetic provides a universal attraction in the poet’s exploration of artistic possibilities.
